Moonlight Atelier is a modelling-rendering suite integrated into a unified and logical interface, inspired from Sofimage. The following screenshot will give you a glimpse of its interface.

Fast, small, it is installed properly within a few mouse clicks and rely on Mesa3D for real time previsualization. Even if the built-in NURBS modeller offers only basic functions to build 3D scenes, the renderer uses many advanced functions : material creation, texture mapping with bump maps and transparency data retrieval, global enlightenment, direct and/or indirect lighting with spots, luminous dots or directional rays, soft and hard shadows, mist effects, radiosity, reflections, refractions, transparency... Each one can be rendered using twelve different algorithms, while a scene can have a rendering method by object... Of course, there are lots more for you to discover. The following pictures show you the quality of this rendering engine :

Moonlight Atelier is very well suited to CG initiation and even if its learning is quite easy, it will need, as any software of this kind, regular training to achieve great results. Linuxgraphic tutorials and the various ressources written for you will help you in this task.

Every contribution will of course be particularly welcome. Thanks to all, for everything and for everybody.

The Linuxgraphic Team.
