What makes it different from all the tower defences you've played so far is that is uses genetic algorithm to make the enemies evolve.
No more scripted increasing difficulty system.
The enemies adapt themselves.
You improve your defence, they are going stronger.
You have a minefield to protect you, they begin to fly.
You build a whole lot of anti-air turret, they stop flying.
You can guess how that ends : you lose.
GeneticInvasion is still in alpha stage, so do not expect it to be perfect, bugless or even crashless.
I suggest you to play the levels that begins by a number, they are supposed to be balanced and are sorted by difficulty (bigger number = more difficult)
The game already has a medal system :
No medals means you suck
Bronze medal means you figured out how to play
Silver means you're good
Gold means you're really good
Platinium means you're too good, play a harder level!
Un jeu de défense de tours avec une IA basée sur un algorithme génétique, par la Genetic Invasion Team.
Il utilise le framefork Evolving Objects (dans le Bottin).
GeneticInvasion est un jeu de défense de tours se distinguant des autres jeux de ce type par l'utilisation d'un algorithme génétique permettant de faire évoluer les ennemis.
Tout script augmentant le niveau de difficulté du jeu devient donc inutile.
Les ennemis s'adaptent par eux-mêmes.
Vous améliorez vos défenses, ils deviennent alors plus forts.
Vous disposez un champ de mines pour vous protéger, ils se mettent à voler.
Vous construisez un champ de batteries antiaériennes : ils s'arrêtent de voler.
La suite vous la devinez : vous perdez.
GeneticInvasion est encore en stage alpha, ne vous attendez donc pas à ce qu'il soit parfait, dénué de bogues et sans plantages.
Les auteurs suggèrent de commencer par des niveaux commençant par un nombre, ils sont supposés être équilibrés et triés par niveau de difficulté (plus le nombre est grand, plus c'est difficile).
Le jeu dispose d'un système de notation :
• aucune médaille signifie que vous êtes nul,
• une médaille de bronze et vous avez compris comment jouer,
• une médaille d'argent et vous êtes bon,
• une médaille d'or et vous êtes vraiment bon,
• une médaille de platine signifie que vous trichez, si vous renouez, considérez que c'est un bogue.
